A growing family in Virginia Beach needed a kitchen that could keep up with their busy lifestyle. We tore down a wall to create an open-concept layout, installed custom soft-close shaker cabinets, and added a massive quartz-topped island with seating for five. The new built-in pantry and under-cabinet lighting made the space both functional and inviting.
By optimizing the workflow between the fridge, sink, and range (the “kitchen triangle”), we created a space that’s as practical for weeknight dinners as it is for weekend gatherings.
The Challenger
The old kitchen was dark, closed off from the living room, and lacked storage. The family constantly tripped over each other while cooking.
The Result
Now, the kitchen flows seamlessly into the living area, with double the storage and a stunning waterfall-edge island that’s the home’s centerpiece.
